Do village or Town rivalries exist in Cyprus?

My gut feeling is that most of the island's GDP is generated in Limassol. I hope to dig up some evidence soon to support this claim. |

It is a well known fact that the improvement in all spheres of life which Cyprus witnessed in the last generation is due to the relocation of Famagusta people throughout the island.
It is also a well known fact that when Famagusta is rebuilt the rest of the island will be in dire straits as the talented Famagustians return to their home town. |
