There are many Cypriots with a good grasp of English, who have never set foot in the UK. Equally, there are many people who have lived all their lives in the UK, and cannot string a sentence together, in any language.
My parents possessed the Hellenic ethos for education ... so thanks to them, I would have had opportunities for study wherever we lived.
I'm not however denying how much the British have achieved, rather reminding us, who ignited the flames to Western Civilisation ..... the Greeks!  |

A bit of a mixed reaction to my post then, I for one will be on my best behaviour the next time I visit Cyprus just in case I dare to complain about anything, or have the audacity to dip my big toe in the hotel swimming pool, you can rest assured though I will still be spending my hard earned cash so that you can at least feed your families I am only heartened to know that you are only a minority on this forum and I am sure the true welcoming Cypriot spirit of the people will not be bashing this well behaved Brit.
