VP, this objection was rejected because of a mere technicality, due to the fact that the legal committee did not have the time to examine it, (like it did and approved all the other objections raised by the GC side,) and also because of one stupid GC parliamentarian, Andros Kyprianou, who failed to get things on truck. However, do not get overexcited, because the remark "through their own ports," that managed to stay in the adopted resolution, has been taken care in a previous paragraph (9) in which it makes it clear that any direct trade measures must comply with resolutions 541 and 550 of the UNSC. Furthermore, the very fact that PACE recognises the RoC as the only legal, sovereign and legitimate entity in Cyprus, hence the fact that it (RoC) is a full member of the CoE, renters the above remark as literally meaningless, and a purely "cosmetic" trick in order to "sweeten the pill."

Double stands yet again from teh EU, the voted for the sentence to remain as is, we are not suprised if they have wormed their way out of it as they have made it very clear that they on the GCs side. Thats why we will never accept their security in place of Turkey as they could do the same when the stakes are much higher, like our lives.

VP, you seem to be confused! The Council of Europe has nothing to do with the EU. They are two separate institutions. The PACE (Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe) has nothing to do with the EU parliament.

I fear our confused VPVP will be even more confused to know that PACE has existed since 1949 and that Turkey is a member with 12 seats Shocked

Sorry guys did get a bit confused there but hey we dont agree with what they say, so that makes their decision null and void and they unable to enforce it. So its worth as much as the paper it written on and ho yes must not forget it made the GCs rejoice as its another resolution they can add to their collection which get them what exactly? Jack shit.

You GCs can have what PACe have stated if you agree to a comprehensive solution and not before.

you on behalf of the Turkish Cypriot people. As the elected leader of the Turkish Cypriot people, I am pleased to be addressing you in this room; and I regard this opportunity as the demonstration of your appreciation of the Turkish Cypriot people.

Where are the balls to say " As the elected president of the Turkish Cypriot people?... If he did so- he would be sent in the space by the PACE bodyguards!!!!!
