Speaker of the Republics Assembly Fatma Ekenoglu has condemned the fact that Turkish Cypriots still continue to feel the pressures of international isolations in all fields.
Speaking during a visit paid to her by the President of the National Olympic Committee Hasan Ali Bicak, the speaker of the national assembly reminded that Turkish Cypriot were the ones who supported a solution in Cyprus, and proved this in 2004 by voting yes to the Annan Plan.
She also said that President Talat was still working intensely towards achieve this aim.
Explaining that she expected South Cyprus to show the same sincerity and effort towards finding a solution in Cyprus, Mrs. Ekenoglu said the Greek Cypriot has introduced itself to the world as being honest and good willed towards finding a solution in Cyprus, ‘I want them to prove this’.
Expressing the view that the Dr. Fazil Kucuk games will contribute largely to the peace process in Cyprus, she said in such a small island, the Turkish Cypriot people do not deserve to be under such isolations.
Explaining that they had invited South Cyprus to take part in the games as well, the speaker of the republics assembly said that instead of joining the games, the Greek Cypriot side tried to prevent the games from taking place.
Also speaking during the visit Ali Bicak the President of the National Olympic Committee said that this year athletes from Germany, Australia, England and Israel were also taking part in the games and noted that every year the quality of the games were improving.
He noted that in the first year of the games only 80 athletes from 8 different countries had taken part but this year 400 athletes from 22 countries are taking part. |

All promises made to us are broken Halil...We have to fight for every little morsel while the "RoC" robs us blind........They call that good will!!  |

it will take time to rest of the world to understand , everything is politic .
don't except miricle at one night .There is a oneside since 64 gets all benefits of the island . ordinary citizan of the countries they don't know ,what's happening in Cyprus .They started to learn ,that there is a TC's in Cyprus and they are under the ambargoes for sports and their leaders are mixing politics and sport .
now Turkish Cypriot Golf players have been invited by the Bulgarian Golf Federation to participate in a tournament in Varna .
they are in Varna at the moment .tourment will finish tomorrow . |

You are right Halil....Please keep us posted on all our sports persons....Maybe even the olympics in 2012 in the UK |
